The Gaelic Athletic Association - GAA
Irish: CLG- Cumann Lúthchleas Gael
The Gaelic Athletic Association was established in 1884. It is "A National organisation which has as its basic aim the strengthening of the National Identity of a 32 County Ireland through the preservation and promotion of Gaelic Games and pastimes".

With over 2,500 clubs on the Island of Ireland the
GAA is Ireland's biggest sporting organization, 80,000 spectators pack into Croke Park for the All Ireland finals every september but the GAA remains an amateur organization. Top players dedicate a huge amount of time to their sports for nothing more then pride.

Every village in Ireland is guaranteed to have three things. A church, a pub and a GAA club.
